The Sigean kitesurfing school welcomes you every day at the Port Mahon nautical base, located in the heart of the Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park.

Located in the Occitanie region and the Aude department, 15 minutes from Narbonne and Leucate, the nautical base offers an exceptional site for practicing water sports.​​​​​

Tendance Kite is at the heart of the riding event!

The school is in the middle of the Mondial du Vent de Leucate and the Défi Kite of Gruissan.

With 300 days of wind per year, the Aude department presents ideal climatic statistics for Kitesurfing.​ Beginner, initiated and experienced, come and discover Kitesurfing in the amazing spot of the Sigean lake.

The kitesurfing school welcomes you to the Port Mahon nautical base.
The structure provides you for your comfort: changing rooms, showers and a refreshment bar.
You can also enjoy the water activities offered by the Saling Club of Port Mahon.

The spot of the school

The Etang de Bages-Sigean is a lagoon on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea: the kingdom of birds and pink flamingos.

The kitesurfing courses take place in a learning zone, 5 minutes away by motorboat.

The shallow water makes it easy to learn in complete safety. The fact that you have your feet all over the sailing area makes it easy for you to make as many attempts as possible to succeed in your exercises.

The kitesurfing course takes place in shallow water. Lessons are collective or individual. The kite area is perfect for beginner or advanced learning.

The kitesurfing lessons take place on the outskirts of Narbonne La Nautique, the wind conditions are the same as on Leucate or Gruissan but with few people in the water.

Session Downwind & Sea

Downwind

Downwind sessions are organized on the Bages-Sigean pond and last between 4 and 5 hours

The level required to participate:

  • know how to tack even if going upwind is not a given.

  • know how to recover your board in deep water.

Minimum outing 4 people

Sea sessions

Sea sessions are organized on the Vieille Nouvelle beach between Gruissan, Port La Nouvelle, Leucate.

The level required to participate

  • know how to go upwind because it pushes offshore.

  • know how to recover your board
